Marusan began reissuing soft vinyl figures from the 1960s and 1970s in 1997.
This is the original monster Zagoraus, released by Marusan. The sole of one foot is stamped with "1971" and the Marusan logo, along with the words "MARUSAN" and "JAPAN." The other foot is stamped with "ZAGARAUS."
In 1997, only 500 of these were released as a reproduction of the original. 28 years have already passed, and it is now discontinued, making it a valuable first edition.
The header card says "Reproduction," but if you take it out of the bag, the "1971" stamp is present, and there is no "Reproduction" text. This makes it difficult to distinguish it from the original figures.
I have seen this type of figure being sold on auctions for around 80,000 yen, claiming to be the original.
